Straight Lines

Well, more than a month with no news from me. Right now that the storm seems to have just passed away, I wouldn’t be very comfortable remembering everything, but summarizing it all, the thieves weren’t catched (I counted with it, already… police in Spain is just decorative… ‘tho to fuck you up they’re always there), the insurance didn’t gave us a cent since the flat was assured only with the goods of the owner and about my throath, it’s still a mistery, tomorrow I’ll do a complete vocal test that will luckily determine at last what’s been happening on there.

That is, in fact, a very, very tiny summary of everything. I can say with my open mouth that it’s been the worst month of all my life.
We’re surviving, though… my father is lending me a hand. Counting that we were expecting to receive something from the insurance, I bought with the money my father lend to me a Canon EOS 550D with the kit lens… I was expecting to give the money back to him, but due to the current situation, I’ll just keep my hands quiet. I also bought this new and cheap computer… not a big deal ‘though, it broke 10 days after purchasing it, and I just received it repaired a few days ago. So well, the material I’ll show you now was done more than a month ago, these were the first pics I took with the new camera, but since the computer just broke days after that, it’s now the time to post them here.

They’re from a random session I did with Andrés G. Fonseca in my house… we took everything we saw as atrezzo… as I said, they’re completely random, just to test the new optics, but nice results came out after all. Some pics were done in the Floridablanca’s park here in Murcia, by the way.

And the last one, a pic I certainly like above the rest, which entitles this post, accompanied by these lyrics by Alaska + Dinarama, which describe very well my life lately:

“Líneas rectas dominan mi vida
Hay entradas pero no hay salidas
Vivo inmersa en la monotonía
Repitiendo la misma rutina
No puedo resistir
No puedo repetir
Situaciones mil veces vividas
Siempre doblo las mismas esquinas
Voy a escapar, desertar, terminar
Un viaje desesperado al este
Donde nunca nadie envejece
Harta de abrazar causas perdidas
De cruzadas contra el invasor
Voy a escapar, desertar, terminar
Intento no cumplir
No quiero sucumbir
A caprichos de mis enemigos
A deseos que no son los míos “
(Alaska + Dinarama)

Shortly I’ll post a photomanipulation that came out after playing a bit with some of these pics.

PS: Oh, I almost forgot… I’ll leave to Edinburgh next July 26th. Andrés and I have got a scholarship to study an English course there, although we’re going to see how that city works, because we’re very interested about living in there… yeah, some goods news, after all… icon smile Straight Lines | Líneas rectas

PSS: And last but not least, I want to give a big thank you to all the kind people who have sent me words of support in this hard situation, and to all the people who have helped us. I hope to keep being gifted with your presence!
