Las Plañideras

The Alterarte festival is done every year in Murcia, were I live. It’s an urban based fest, and for a week, you can see several art performances in the street as well as other works exposed in the urban landscape.

This year, my friend Natalia Martínez along with her friends Raquel and Marta presented “Las Plañideras” (The Mourners) a theatrical act that they already introduced in the Artistic Forum of the city, and was selected for this festival. read more »

Nature Photography?

I’ve been able at last to produce some photography in the latest weeks. A strange error happened to my Canon EOS 400D and I’ve been unable to make a single shot during 2009. Luckily, I was able to fix the error manually and the camera now works fine as it used to do. I’ve been waiting to make some shots for ages, and I am so lucky that I’ve had Andrés Granda Fonseca as a model to make those shots. read more »

Last night I went out with Kid A for a walk, and I grabbed my camera since it’s been an ethernity from the last time I took some photos with it. It was so dark in the city, and I am still tripod-less to shot at low-light levels, so I took some lighting effects using long exposure shots. The last time I did that, as I remember, was in the summer of 2007. It was funny but battery was almost empty so I couldn’t take much shots. Three important moments

As you can notice, I’ve not produced anything new in the latest months. “The Red Room” project sucked all my energy, but during these past weeks, I have been able to create three new images, which represents an important moment in my life. They’re not a series, because they’ve not been though to be that way, but they work the same way. “Interlude” being the beginning, “The strange blind sensation” the story itself, and “Player” the bitter end. read more »
