The Gathering 20th anniversary

Well, it may not be a surprise for some of you, but it’s not a secret that I pay certain devotion to the music band The Gathering. I have done tens of images inspired and based on their chilling and explosive music.

And yes, this is the first time in years I write an entry not related to my artistic stuff, but sooner or later I had to write a post like this to say a big “THANK YOU!!” to them, and it cannot be the best moment now that it’s their 20th anniversary.

From death/doom metal, to trip-rock (a genre created by themselves, who has not only inspired other music bands, but all kind of artists around the globe, like myself), passing through progressive metal/rock and gloomy, experimental and shoegazed full of feeling atmospheres, they have developed real music, honest messages and mezmerising visual images.

Although I have already seen them live, I’ll have the endless pleasure to see them again in February, since they’re coming to Spain next year! I just can’t wait! These are the best news I’ve had in ages!

I want to show a little tribute to these dream makers, a showcase of all the works I’ve done during my artistic career inspired in their music. I encourage you to visit their website, I am sure that if you like my work, you will find something in their music (:
