CD Cover Artwork / Editorial Illustration

Project Info

Personal Illustration about critical decisions.

It was documented during the whole process, so with +250 screenshots, a tutorial for advanced users of Adobe Photoshop was released as Premium Content on PSD Tuts by the Envato Network. Some of the key points of the tutorial were: image masking, texturing, composition and post-production. You can access the full tut by clicking here.

The image was later requested by the record label Epochal Artists/EMI for the album “Another Life” by the rock band Empathic. Just to clarify a common question: The typography was not done by this studio, only the illustration was licensed.

Later on, several magazines all over the world got it on their covers, like Mercury (Department of Business Studies, Uppsala University, Sweden), Speechless (Italy) and the Medical Doctors Union Journal of United Kingdom.

The illustration received the Master Award in Surreal Illustration on the 11th edition of Exposé in 2013, one of the most important digital art catalogs, and was used for the promotional campaign of the 7th Creative Pro Show in Rome (2014)

  • This artwork is still available for non-exclusive licenses in Editorial fields. The License is a bit restrictive, so please, don’t hesitate to ask.
  • “Deliberation” is available is many fine art prints formats, such as photo, canvas, glicée, aluminium and acrylic. If interested, please visit Fine Art America and deviantArt.
  • The illustration is also available as T-Shirts, hoodies and more apparel on my Redbubble store and Cotógrahix (best option if you order from Spain).

This Making Of video was created for the event Photoshop Rockstars by Adobe in Callao City Lights (Madrid, Spain).
